Workshops are now online!

Take a look at the workshops this year and sign up now.

Please read this FAQ before reaching out to the festival management, we have a lot of the same questions so we gathered some of them here:

Can I just sign up for a workshop?

In order to sign up for a workshop, you must first register HERE and pay the Participation Fee. This fee is deducted from the price for the workshop and gives you the Festival t-shirt as well as early access to workshop releases (if you signed up pre-workshop release).

Step 1: Go fill out the CIIF18 participant application then you will receive an email with you 20€ discount coupon* for workshops (Earlybird Discount ends 10/2-2018).

Step 2: Go sign up for the workshop of your choice.

Step 3: Look forward to participate in an awesome festival.

*In order to benefit from the €20 Earlybird coupon, it has to be used during the purchase of a 5 day workshop. CIIF will not be able to refund any discounts or participant fees after the purchase of a workshop. The participant signup fee (€20) will be returned to you in the form of a discount when you sign up for a workshop. Where the earlybird discount is valid, if you sign up before the 10/2-2018 then you will be entitled to a further €20 early bird discount.

Is my current level good enough for the workshops?

It is always hard for us to ensure that people are fair to themselves and their upcoming classmates when registering for festival workshops. Because there is no right and wrong in improv, we highly encourage you to be realistic when signing up for the workshops that require a larger amount of experience. If you are in doubt then contact the festival management at, and we will gladly guide you.

Will I be able to perform at the Festival?

We have already had an application process for performing teams, and we’re happy for the huge amount of applications. If you were not selected to perform, then you will have the opportunity for a student graduation show with your workshop class. Please check out the workshops to find out which ones include a chance to perform.

Is there a festival hub for accommodation?

Yes, when you apply to participate in the festival you will recieve a info mail with the details about the special Hostel prices with DanHostel Copenhagen City only 300m from the ICC Theatre and workshopspaces. There is a special rate of 195 kr. / night (App: 26€/night) This is a very fair price in Copenhagen. Alternatively, ask for friends in the CIIF community group (link sent after your apply for CIIF18) and see if someone wants to share an AirBnB.
