Monday 15 April @ 20:00DKK275
This is the opening show of Copenhagen Internation Improv Festival 2019. This evening we really knock your socks off with an amazing comedy lineup. The “ICC All Stars “(DK) takes the stage and will show you just how quick they are able to create comedy with their high paced show. “The Fallen Sundays”(DK) will then take you for a musical ride, where you ask? Well, it all depends on the suggestion they will get that evening. After the intermission “The Lusty Mannequins” (CAN) kick off the second part of the show with the best Improv Comedy from Canada. Closing the night will be “Those Who Can” (US) which is international top-shelf improvisers taking you for a hilarious ride. Come give a suggestion and put your mark on what WILL be a hilarious evening.
This evening there will be performances by:
ICC All Stars (DK) Just like the popular TV show “Whose Line is it Anyway,” you give suggestions and the ICC All Stars will use them to create a fast-paced, hilarious show. Each show is a unique, interactive experience, providing maximum laughs!
The Fallen Sundays (DK) Lights! Action! Music! The Fallen Sundays will dazzle you with a fully improvised musical comedy show, with lyrics, harmonies and choreography brilliantly created in the moment. Past shows include: “Shoes, The Musical!” “Clouds, The Musical!” and “Cookies, The Musical!”
The Lusty Mannequins (CAN) These four are alumni of the Second City Mainstage in Toronto, combining for over 60 years of comedy experience. They tour the world teaching, promoting and performing comedy. What’s their style? Think Robertson Davies throwing a cocktail party and Helena Bonham Carter, Kristen Wiig and Mr. Bean showing up. They infuse their unique comedy with a strong dose of intellectual humor.
Those Who Can (US) Simply, the best of the best. Craig Cackowski, Carla Cackowski, Amanda Blake Davis, Jaime Moyer, Brian Palermo and Jay Sukow have travelled the world teaching and performing at various theatres and festivals. Their TV and film credits are too numerous to mention. They have also taught and performed for decades at the top improv schools in the US, including The Second City, The Groundlings, iO, UCB and ComedySportz.
