CIIF18 SHOW at The National Museum
27 March @ 20:00DKK180
1) 20:00- 20:30 Paraphrase (EG/BE)
The three members of PARAPHRASE started improvising together a little less than two years ago. They instantly connected over their eagerness to experiment and develop. That and their shared passion for improvised drama and background in scripted theater is what brought the three of them together to form the group.
2) 20:30-21:00 The Odd Couple (FR/BR/USA/NL)
Two pairs of people who are bound together in their personal lives are each not allowed to share the stage during the show. Each spend an unconscionable amount of time together off stage, that they are banned from doing so on stage. The result is a show which forces each player to be creative in their premises and edits. However, the handicap of certain players not being able to share the stage means that the scenes and story are infused with a certain playful tension. The audience knows that certain characters can never meet and the players on stage manipulate this expectation. This can lead to emotional, narrative tales or lively farce.
3) 21:15-21:45 Only Human (DK/PL/MT/IE)
Only Human (OH) was born at the same time as the ICC theatre and became a house team in training.
OH burns with a strong desire to find their ultimate improv style: one that takes advantage of all the many talents of the individual members. “Practice makes pretty” and “show up and show off” are the team mantras. OH is also characterized by the confident moves, vivid characters, and solid commitment on and off the stage. Having done more than a 100 shows together, the group is getting the hang of the Harold.
4) 21:45-22:15 CIIF TEAM (USA/DK/CA)
CIIF18’s awesome teachers, all together- Stacey Smith, Jaime Moyer, Jay Sukow, Alastair Forbes, Connor Thomson & Stefan Pagels Andersen.
