CIIF18 SHOW at The National Museum
26 March @ 20:00DKK180
1) 20:00-20:30 Meanwhile, Back At The Lab (DK/UK/RO)
We are Meanwhile, Back at the Lab, or ‘MBATL’ for those who like acronyms. As a team, we’ve been performing together for around a year and a quarter, and we are fortunate to headline twice a week at the Improv Comedy Copenhagen Theatre – your host venue for CIIF18.
We generally play the monoscene format with our own little twist, but we are always up for any opportunity that allows us to get up onstage and play around. We can’t wait to share our daft sense of humor with you this year!
We are: Stefan Pagels Andersen, Charlie Waller, Flaviu Popescu, Adrian MacKinder and Gordon Torbet.
2) 20:30-21:00 Land Of Giants (NL/USA)
Three improvisers from Amsterdam- They love playing characters who are sweet and relatable, yet have something slightly off about them. What is the emotional weight of never being able to reach that can of beans in the grocery store? How much time of your life have you wasted queuing for gigs to guarantee a spot near the front? LAND OF GIANTS takes these ideas and applies them to a format that drives character and world exploration. One player with being on stage the whole time, forced to confront the worlds laid out before them. The worlds change through organic edits, seamlessly flipping the location and premise, but still showing its connection to what came before.
3) 21:15-21:45 Scratch Theater (DE/RU/USA/IN/ES/AU/IE/CA)
Bringing their unique long-form improvised stories to Berlin and beyond, Scratch Theater mixes the magic of imagination with the emotions we all feel to sweep audiences off their feet. From 20th century plays, romantic comedies, and the twilight zone, they create vulnerable characters that are full of honesty and complexity. Performances are one of a kind and memorable, rich with the sound of music. Find out more at www.scratchtheater.com.
