Improv also helps you become comfortable with the uncomfortable. It’s a great way to push the boundaries of your comfort zone in a positive and supportive environment. Remember, every second of every day is improvised. So you’re already doing it, whether you know it or not. Plus our improv courses are amazingly fun.
What is improv?
At its heart, improvisation is about collaboration and fun. Improv is literally for everyone because it’s mostly about having fun.
Do I have to be funny?
Absolutely not, but you might be. Improv is more about adding skills to who you already are rather than trying to be funny.

Exercises and games can include all course participants at the same time, a hand full of people or you and one other person. In between the exercises the teacher will explain the theories behind the exercises, and you will be able to ask questions and get answers. As you progress through the courses you will also get to do scenes, which is a ton of fun. All courses are always conducted in a safe and supportive way by experienced ICC teachers.

Fundamentals L1A - Do I need to have experience as a actor/performer?
No you don’t. Most of our students have NEVER had any acting experience at all.In fact, often the BEST Improvisers are the non-actors because they do not come to class with any preconceptions of what they think they ‘should’ be doing. They just come for the fun!Acting experience can help in terms of being more used to ‘playing’ and the technical aspects of being on-stage – but you have plenty of time to learn those things on the courses anyway.
