OUR MISSION IS TO BRING AMERICAN IMPROV COMEDY TO EUROPE
The ICC Theatre currently, has 5 ICC House Teams comprised of the best improvisers in the country and was awarded BEST STAGE IN COPENHAGEN by AOK.DK in 2017. ICC Theatre was also nominated for the EXCEPTIONAL EFFORTS AWARD (which made a difference in 2017/2018) by CPHculture.dk. The ICC house team performers are from over 13 different countries which shows the very strong international focus.
With backgrounds from the top of American Improv Theatres and having studied, performed and taught in more than 35 countries since 2009 ICC brings their experience and expertise to the first and only improv theatre in Denmark. We are fortunate to have worked with thousands of students worldwide over the past decade.
The ICC training centre is where our amazing teacher staff teaches Improv Comedy techniques, suitable for complete beginners all the way up to veteran actors who want to take their skills to the next level. Currently, there are more than 250 students enroled at the ICC training centre, distributed across more than 30 different nationalities.
ICC also has a department dedicated to business-related events, workshops in the philosophies behind improvisation applied into presentation techniques, storytelling sessions, customized team-building events, Ice-breaking sessions and of course our customized highly entertaining comedy shows for your specific event, both in and outside of Denmark. We also partner with corporate clients to facilitate parts of the talent development within their organisation. We can and have facilitated full-day events for several hundred international managers in e.g.

MEET OUR TEAM
Stefan Pagels Andersen
Facilitator / Co-Founder
Stefan has performed in more than 8 Danish Feature films, several shorts and played theater at Betty Nansen and The Royal Danish Theater. He’s done improv professionally since 2009. He was at iO Chicago in 2013 taking their world recognized training programme. After his education, he organized the Copenhagen International Improv Festival, that facilitated more than 60 International Improvisers. Due to the Festival’s success, he was invited back to the iO theater to shadow teach some of the worlds best instructors by iO founder Charna Halpern. He played the character POUL in the Improvised Feature film Det Andet Liv which received very good reviews and premiered in August 2014. He’s performed at the iO Theater in the The Armando Diaz Theatrical Experience & Hootenanny (Chicago’s longest running improv show) Besides performed with some of Chicagos best improvisers, in the fall 2014 he traveled around more than 12 cities in Europe with iO performers Lyndsay Hailey, Tara DeFrancisco and Rance Rizzutto, and further 4 cities with the worlds best improv performers TJ and Dave www.tjanddave.com – shadowing their classes and doing shows. In 2015 he organized the 2015 Copenhagen International IMPROV Festival, that was opened by the US Ambassador Rufus Gifford, who also participated in the show. After spending his third summer in Chicago, he’s been in , Germany, Slovenia, Dubai, and has now teamed up with Kasper to realize his dream of opening the first ever professional improv theatre in Denmark, The ICC Theatre.
CEO / Co-Founder
Kasper is a life enthusiast and public speaker with a background in engineering. He has currently traveled more than 100 cities in over 30 countries and been living on 3 continents. With almost a decade of experience in technical engineering projects with multi-cultural teams all over the world Kasper has personally experienced the difference between various people with even more different cultural backgrounds – with his passion for psychology and social dynamics he first hand have been studying the universal commonalities in human behavior – especially the universal humor which can be used in creating positive experiences and connections in addition to unity among unlike people. On his path for personal growth while persistent stepping out of his comfort zone he discovered the wonderful world of Improv and fell in love with it from day one – simply because the rules of improv aligns so well with his personal view of interacting with the world in a positive and supportive way while having as much fun as possible. Have fun, step out of you comfort zone that is where you grow!
Teacher - Level 1A/1B
“Improv changed my life” is a sentence Rolando Yunquera often says, when asked what improv means to him. He is living proof of what hard work, dedication and devotion can do. Having started in January 2016 as a level 1 student, he is now not only an ICC graduate, he is also part of the ICC ensemble and member of the ICC house teams – Only Human, Suggestion 3 and The ICC Touring Company. He is also an ICC faculty member, teaching improv to new students, and an active member of the ICC 2017 festival planning and managing team. Needless to say, he is a known character and personality in the ICC community. Rolando is loved for his heartfelt smile, warmth and big hugs.
Teacher - Level 2
Mia is a perfect example of how improv attracts people from all walks of life. She stumbled upon the world of improv during her studies and started teaching voluntary improv classes at Copenhagen Business School in 2015. In March 2017 she joined the talented group of ICC teachers after graduating from ICC, and now teaches all level 2 classes. Mia continuously strive for improving her skills both as a performer and as a teacher having completed courses with some of the best Improvisers in the world including Craig Uhlir and Rance Rizzutto. Mia is known as a truly engaged and knowledgeable teacher who is able to bring performers to the next level.
Teacher - Level 3/4
Gordon gained a BA Hons in Performance Arts in 1992 (Leeds University). Throughout the mid ‘90s he worked principally as an actor/director in the UK with his own company NODO Productions. He has broad experience of conducting workshop on topics such as mask work, onstage status transactions, physical theatre technique, and character development.
As a trained improviser, Gordon has performed with the Improv Comedy Copenhagen Theatre for the past 18 months and is a member of the ICC Main Team ‘Meanwhile Back at the Lab’. He also recently took over the role of Head of the ICC Training Centre and teaches various levels of the ICC Improv curriculum.
